I ordered some brocade from puresilks - using ebay puresilks - using ebay rather than their website. It arrived today and I'm comparatively happy with my choice. I do have 1yard of a repro screen accurate that I bought into via an LJ community group order, but I didn't want to use it for this in case I botch it completely. I ended up voting with my money for the Fashion Fabrics Club 'shimmer' red rayon.  Once I calculated that the cost of "FFC fabric+int'l post" was approximately the same as "white cheesecloth+dye", well I decided to save myself an hour or two slaving over the dyepot, aka boiling up the copper and bucketting the hot water to my washing machine ( Read more... )

the fabric I ordered 3 weeks ago has arrived, and I was a little startled at the bold yellow in the print. They'd managed to avoid a hint of it in the online photo and yellow is something I can only have in tiny amounts or I look sick.  As in teeny tiny amounts.
